DUI KANSAS and James A. Thompson are dedicated to defending the citizens of Kansas charged anywhere in the state of Kansas with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs.
If you have been arrested for DUI, there are two distinct and separate aspects of your case: the criminal charges, which can result in fines, jail time, and loss of driving privileges; and the administrative-or civil-side, which can result in the suspension of your driving privileges. It is extremely important to pay attention to both tracks on which your case is proceeding.
If you have been charged with a DUI, it is imperative that you contact James A. Thompson and DUI KANSAS immediately at 1(888) DUI-KANSAS. Your driving privileges may be revoked or restricted if you do not request a hearing with the Kansas Department of Revenue within 10 days of the date of your DUI. For more information see our FAQ section.
It is possible to get a DUI dismissed or be found not guilty of DUI and still lose your license. Where the administrative license revocation is set aside but you are convicted of DUI, KDR will suspend your license based on the DUI conviction. There is only one license suspension per DUI arrest, but the government gets two chances to take your license.
